Cameron spent time studying a Bcom Finance Degree at the University of Johannesburg. During his time at UJ he was part of a student ministry called Campus Outreach. After graduating from University, he worked for ABSA Bank as an Investment Trader on the markets. During this season, he felt a real calling from God to pursue full time Christian ministry. He then left his job and did an apprenticeship at his local church called Melville Union Church doing student ministry to see if this is what God would have for him and his family. He did the apprenticeship for two years after which he came on staff full time with the church to take up the position of Student Ministry Director and it became very apparent that this is what God would have for him.

Cameron served at this role for a few years but his heart burned to see more people meet Jesus through more churches being planted. Not only ordinary churches but missional churches. This vision and passion is a driving force in his life – to give the rest of my life to this, in planting a multi- ethnic and multi-cultural church that will in turn plant other churches. This led him to study theology further at George Whitefield Collage in Cape Town.

Cameron and Lelethu share a desire to see non-Christians come to faith in Christ and for Christians to grow in their understanding of what it means to follow Christ and live as members of a redeemed and holy community. They have long dreamed of starting a church community that would achieve these goals in the community in which they live.
